Quilt Crawls
Quilt Crawls are planned for November 8, 2008, January 24, 2009 and February 28, 2009. The crawls will depart from designated locations in the Dallas Metroplex area at apprxoimately 8:30 a.m. and return at 5:30 p.m. Individual cars may remain in the parking lots of departure.

Quilt History Weekend
Quilt Mania II is the largest collaboration of quilt exhibitions ever mounted. Seventeen premier cultural institutions in Dallas,Texas area plan exhibitions of quilts September 26 2008 - April 1, 2009. Because Quilt Mania I was so enjoyable for those outside the Dallas area, a special Quilt History Weekend is planned for March 6-8, 2009. Participants will have the opportunity to see all the exhibitions that are open, hear quilt historian, Xenia Cord, share stories from her adventures as an antique quilt dealer, visit three quilt shops and see a private antique quilt collection.
Attendees will be picked up at the Dallas Fort Worth Airport 2 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2009 and returned to the airport by noon on Sunday, March 8, 2009. All transportation, admission to the exhibitions, meals, visits to three quilt shops, lecture by Xenia Cord and viewing of private quilt collection is included in the $195.00 registration fee. Dr. Marian Ann J. Montgomery, Quilt Mania II Project Coordinating Curator has organized this weekend and will accompany the tour. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity as Quilt Mania will not be repeated.
